Pokagon state park BOAT RENTALS ON LAKE JAMES
A variety of boats both motorized and non-motorized are available for rent. Motorized boat rentals must be made at the front desk of the Potawatomi Inn. Non-motorized boat rentals on Lake James are available 9 am – 5 pm daily at the Boat House by the Inn beach during the summer months. Limited spring and fall hours. There are no launching facilities for private boats. However, docking slips are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Boating on Lake James is a must! Many kinds of boat rentals are available to make this happen. You can only reserve a motorized boat if you reserve for a full day rental. For all other rentals it is first come first serve at the park in person.
Pontoon Boats (11 people)
- $374.50/full day (9am-5pm) + $300 damage deposit
- * $214 00/half day (12pm-5pm) + $300 damage deposit
* Pontoon boats are only reservable if you do a full day rental. Otherwise it is first come first served.

Fishing Boats (3 people)
- $107.00/full day (9am-5pm) + $100 damage deposit
- * $64.50/half day (12pm-5pm) + $100 damage deposit

Non-motorized - First come first served
- Paddle Boats (4 people): $10/hour
- Paddle Boards (1 person): $10/hour
- Single Kayaks (1 person): $10/hour
- Tandem Kayaks (2 people): $20/hour
- Rowboats (4 people): $10/hour or $30/day
